Osceola County (October 10, 2020) On October 9, 2020, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to a homeless camp located in a wooded area off Siesta Lago Drive and North Poinciana Blvd in reference to a deceased body. Upon arrival deputies discovered Benjamin Venegas-Banales (age 44) deceased with obvious signs of trauma. Investigation revealed Benjamin and Celeo Maldonado-Gala (age 67) were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. Maldonado-Gala cooperated with the investigation and detectives after obtaining probable cause, arrested him for 1st-degree murder.
