FATHER ARRESTED IN DEATH OF TODDLER
On December 13, 2025, just after 3:30 a.m., deputies with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) and Osceola County Fire Rescue responded to a residence on Nice Court in Kissimmee, Florida, regarding an unresponsive child who appeared to have drowned in a hot tub. A family from Washington, D.C., was staying at the residence, which was listed as an Airbnb.
The 20-month-old female toddler (DOB: April 11, 2024) was transported to AdventHealth Celebration, where she was pronounced deceased shortly after 4:30 a.m.
Detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence to investigate the incident. The father stated that he brought his daughter into the hot tub and fell asleep while holding her. He reported waking up to find the child unresponsive in his arms while still in the hot tub.
Following the investigation, detectives determined that the father, Reynard Tyrone Hough of Washington, D.C. (DOB: June 2, 1992), was neglectful in the death of his daughter and arrested him on a charge of Child Neglect Causing Great Bodily Harm. On Sunday, December 14, 2025, detectives added an additional charge of Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child.
Mr. Hough remains in custody at the Osceola County Jail. This death investigation remains ongoing.
