Youth Citizen’s Academy

The Youth Citizen’s Academy provides Osceola County boys and girls with a first-hand overview of both law enforcement and community-related functions of their Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. During an action-packed 3 days, the campers receive instruction on Policing and Community Impact, SRU/K-9, Crime Prevention, Motor Vehicle Stops, Domestic Violence, 911 Call Center Introduction to Forensics,  Juvenile Matters, Marine Section/Police Boat Ride-Along, Introduction to Firearms, Physical Training and much more.

The Youth Citizen’s Academy is delivered by highly-trained and experienced Deputies of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Officer. In addition to participating in role-playing exercises, attendees will accompany on-duty police personnel within the different departments and divisions of the Sheriff’s Office.
