Major Brown began his law enforcement career in 1990 as a State Trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol. Over an impressive thirty-five-and-a-half-year career, he served in numerous specialized roles, including member of the Troop D Orlando Motorcycle Squad, Team Leader for the Central Region’s Special Response Team, coordinator for the Troop D Auxiliary, and Director of Security for the University of Central Florida’s football team.
A highly trained and versatile instructor, Major Brown is certified in Firearms, Defensive Tactics, Active Shooter Response, ASP, and Taser. As a Police Motorcycle Instructor, he played a key role in coordinating Presidential Protective Detail training for units responsible for escorting high-level dignitaries.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Donald Brown—a retired FHP Lieutenant—Major Brown proudly represents the second generation of his family to serve in law enforcement.
In July 2025, Major Brown joined the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, where he currently serves in the Special Operations Division.
