Sexual Battery Arrest
Osceola County (August 27, 2019) On August 16, 2019, at 11:00 PM, this agency responded to a report of a Missing Person. The reporter stated her friend was missing after leaving her residence with three unknown black males to work in the Celebration area. A short while later, the victim returned to her residence and stated she had been sexually battered by one of the males. The suspect, later identified as Benjamin Giles, took the victim, and her companion along with two other individuals to the Celebration area to perform landscaping and window repair work. Once in the area of Blake Boulevard, the Giles dropped off all the occupants of the vehicle and requested the victim stay in the vehicle. Giles then drove to an unknown area in Celebration and sexually battered the victim in his vehicle. Afterward, Giles drove around the Kissimmee area and arrived in the McClaren Circle area where he sexually battered the victim again.
On August 23, 2019, Giles was located and apprehended in the Haines City area. Giles did not cooperate with the investigation and declined to speak to investigators. Giles was arrested and charged with 4 counts of Sexual Battery and he is currently housed in the Polk County Jail awaiting extradition back to Osceola County.
