Major Fred Hinderman has worked for the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office since 1997 and is currently assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. He has been assigned to many areas, including patrol, the community response team, the sex offender unit, property crimes, grand theft auto, and economic crimes. As a sergeant, he supervised patrol, narcotics, personal crimes, sex crimes, and internet crimes against children. When promoted to Lieutenant, he oversaw patrol and west property crimes. Major Hinderman was a SWAT team member from 2001 to 2018, working as a sniper, assistant team leader, and team leader. Major Hinderman graduated from the Southern Police Institute’s 149th Administrative Officers Course.
