Osceola County, FL – On March 26, 2023, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit responded to the report of a sex battery of a 14-year-old female. Detectives interviewed the victim, who disclosed a 24-year-old male (Matthew Nieves D.O.B 11/05/1998) had sex with her while on the back porch of her grandmother’s residence. Matthew Nieves was a friend of the victim’s family. During his interview, he admitted to having sex with the 14-year-old victim and providing her with alcohol.
On March 27, 2023, the Special Victim’s Unit obtained a warrant for Matthew Nieves for two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Battery, one count of Lewd and Lascivious conduct, and one count of contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor for providing alcohol to the victim.
