Captain Steven Moser, a lifelong Osceola County resident, is married with two sons and three grandchildren. He currently serves as Special Operations Captain and has over 37 years of continuous volunteer service through ministry and coaching. For more than 30 years, he has held leadership roles in both the community and the Sheriff’s Office.
During his career, Captain Moser has served in specialized units such as Reserves, Patrol, Field Training Officer (FTO), Community Response Team (CRT), K9, Property Crimes, Homicide, Training, and Internal Affairs. His leadership roles have included FTO Sergeant, Internal Affairs Sergeant, Internal Affairs Lieutenant, Special Investigations Lieutenant, FTO Lieutenant, and FTO Administrative Lieutenant, leading to his promotion to Captain.
Captain Moser has received the Distinguished Service Award, multiple commendations, Unit Citations, Employee of the Month honors, and the Children’s Advocacy in Action Award.
He is a graduate of the Florida Sheriff’s Institute Commanders Academy (Class 11) and is a certified Speaker, Trainer, and Coach with the John Maxwell Team.
