Captain Daniel Marquith –
Patrol East Division
Captain Daniel Marquith grew up in South Florida and completed his Law Enforcement Recruit Training at Florida Keys Community College. He began his law enforcement career with the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office as a civilian in 2000. In 2002, he was sworn in as a deputy sheriff with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. In 2004, Captain Marquith relocated to Osceola County and joined the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. He has served in Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Traffic Enforcement, and Training. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2010 serving in Patrol, Field Training, and Traffic Enforcement. Captain Marquith was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to Patrol in 2017. In 2018 he was promoted to Captain by Sheriff Russell Gibson and currently oversees the East Region Patrol Division. He is also the Deputy Team Commander for the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team. Captain Marquith is certified as an expert in the field of impaired driving by the International Association of Chiefs of Police and has traveled extensively as a speaker and instructor in the areas of impaired driving and Field Force Operations. His expertise serves him well in his capacity as a board member with the Central Florida DUI Advisory Council.
