The Fugitives Section is comprised of both sworn and civilian personnel. It is statutorily required to maintain records and serve criminal warrants ordered by the court. This section is also responsible for coordinating and handling all paperwork for in-state transportation and out-of-state extraditions of wanted persons.
The sworn members of the Fugitives Unit are responsible for identifying and apprehending subjects that have active warrants. Each sworn member of the unit gathers leads, conducts surveillance, and ultimately apprehends wanted fugitives within Osceola County. On occasion, they will travel throughout the United States, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico to return wanted fugitives back to Osceola County.
Countless fugitive criminals are brought to justice every year as a direct result of an anonymous tip from someone just like you. With your help, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office and Law Enforcement Agencies can work together to make our community a safer place to live.
