Osceola County, Florida – On May 20 at approximately 1:36 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 3001 St. Clair Street in Kissimmee in reference to an occupied burglary. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who indicated he observed a red pickup truck in his driveway and an unknown male, later identified as Shawn Goode, knocking on his front door. When he did not answer, he heard someone in the back of the house and saw the same individual open his screen door.

As deputies were responding to the burglary, they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s truck. When deputies approached the vehicle, they could smell a strong alcoholic odor coming from the car. Deputies conducted a series of field sobriety tests and, based on the Goode’s responses, he was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence and Refusing to Submit to the Balance Test. The victim of the occupied burglary also identified Goode and he was charged with Occupied Burglary and Criminal Mischief. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
