Suspect Arrested for Child Abuse and Stalking
Osceola County, Florida – On June 27 at approximately 3:20 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on Waterview Loop in Kissimmee in reference to a suspicious incident. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the 17-year old victim and his mother. The victim told deputies he was walking home from the Dollar Tree on Simpson Road when an unknown male in a car approached him. The male, later identified as Hector Brocatto-Gamez, began asking the victim several questions making inappropriate sexual comments to him and offering him money to expose himself. The victim ran back into the Dollar Tree and called his mother who arranged for a family member to pick him up.
Through the course of the investigation, deputies discovered the victim’s mother drove to the area of the Dollar Tree and located the suspect. She followed the suspect and eventually confronted him. Due to car and phone problems he was able to leave the area. She was also able to obtain his license plate information which assisted deputies in locating him at his residence, 4511 Freedom Road in Kissimmee. Deputies took Gamez into custody and he cooperated with the investigation. Based on his statements, Gamez was arrested and charged with Child Abuse and Stalking. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
