Student Arrested for Bringing Gun on Campus
Osceola County, Florida – Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Gustavo Fernando Lozano-Silva, D.O.B. 08/09/1998, a student at Celebration High School today for bringing a firearm on campus. The investigation began on 02/16/2017 when Sheriff’s Deputies received a report that a student had posted a video on social media that depicted him standing in the parking lot of the school. During the video, the student shows an AR-15 rifle that was concealed in the trunk of his car where the spare tire is stored.
Gustavo Fernando Lozano-Silva’s car was searched and an unloaded AR-15 rifle was found in the trunk spare tire storage area. The search did not reveal any ammunition. Mr. Lozano-Silva’s explanation for having the gun on campus was that he was taking the gun to get it cleaned after school at a local gun shop. He was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm on School Property F.S.S. 790.115, a third degree felony.
