On May 16, 2017, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of an aggravated assault in a construction area near Myers Road and Rob Way, in Kissimmee. A construction worker reported he was shot at by an unknown person, while operating a construction vehicle. Deputies responded to the area and while checking the area for suspects, they observed a male leaning out of the second story window of a residence with what appeared to be a rifle. Deputies worked quickly to secure the area and ensure that people in the Campbell Cove and Eagle Bay neighborhoods were safe. The Osceola Sheriff’s Office SWAT team responded to make contact with the suspect and he cooperated and was taken into custody.
This is currently an active scene and the investigation is ongoing. The suspect has been identified as Eduardo Torres-Bonet D.O.B. 6/25/96. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office number one priority is the safety of our community and we want to thank those in our community that were affected or inconvenienced by this incident, as we worked to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.
