Registered Felon Arrested – Burglary & Agg Assault
Osceola County, Florida – On March 30 at approximately 11:53 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 2830 Old Canoe Creek Road in St. Cloud in reference to a burglary alarm.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the complainant who indicated he was alerted when his mother’s house alarm was signaled. The complainant went to her residence and saw an unknown vehicle in her driveway. He attempted to block the driveway so the car could not leave. The driver of the car struck the complainant’s vehicle before leaving the scene.
After further investigation, detectives located the suspect, identified as Jermaine Lawrence Jacob, a registered felon, at his residence, 3435 Brant Street in St. Cloud. Jacob was taken into custody and cooperated with the investigation. He told deputies he entered the residence on Old Canoe Creek Road, but did not take anything from the home.
Based on his statements, Jacob was arrested and charged with Unoccupied Burglary and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Jacob was arrested last week for an unrelated burglary and out on bond at the time he committed this crime, therefore he was booked into Jail with no bond.
