Multiple Burglary and Grand Theft Charges

Osceola County, Florida – Osceola County Sheriff’s detectives with the Tourist Policing Unit arrested Gelbert Regalado and Lynderes Castron on multiple Unoccupied Burglary and Grand Theft charges. The suspects are responsible for more than 20 burglaries in Reunion and also linked to similar crimes in Polk County.

The investigation began in early January when detectives began investigating numerous residential burglaries in the Reunion Resort area. The majority of these crimes occurred during the day and entry was made through a sliding glass door or breaking a window.

Through the course of the investigation, Regalado and Castron were identified as suspects. On May 23, detectives conducted an undercover operation and observed the suspects committing a burglary. They were taken into custody and cooperated with the investigation. Based on their statements and the evidence, Regalado and Castron were arrested. Regalado was charged with 5 counts of Unoccupied Burglary and 3 counts of Grand Theft. Castron was charged with 4 counts of Unoccupied Burglary and 2 counts of Grand Theft. They were booked into the Osceola County Jail.

Detectives also recovered more than $100,000 dollars of stolen property. The investigation is on-going with additional charges pending.
