Homicide investigation update

Osceola County (April 20, 2020) On April 14, 2020, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots
fired at the Stoney Brook South subdivision in Davenport, Florida. When deputies arrived, they located a scene of a
possible shooting, but could not locate any victims. Deputies were later contacted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office
in reference to a shooting victim dropped off at Dr. Phillip’s Hospital. The shooting victim was later identified as Wolph
Lutherking Luma. Luma later succumbed to his injuries. At this time we believe this is an isolated incident. It is believed
Luma was attending a house party in the area. The investigation is still ongoing and we have no further information to
provide at this time.

Demetrius Cox DOB: 03/07/00

During the course of the investigation, probable cause was established to obtain an arrest warrant for Demetrius Cox,
03/07/00 for Murder. Demetrius was arrested April 17, 2020, on the warrant and transported to the Osceola County Jail with zero bond. Demetrius did cooperate with the investigation. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to serving our community and increasing public safety.
