False Report of Planting a Bomb or Explosive Device
Osceola County (April 16, 2020) On April 4, 2020, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from the Under Armor Corporation in reference to a bomb threat made by a disgruntled customer identified as Mark Alan Burk. Burk was upset about an online order he had placed. While calling the company to make his complaint, he became irate and vulgar with several representatives of the company. Burk made threats he had planted a bomb in the company building. He also stated he had put a bomb in the call takers residence, telling her he was going to kill her. After a diligent investigation, a felony arrest warrant was obtained for the crime of False Report of Planting a Bomb or Explosive Device for Mark Burk. Members of the Person’s Crime Unit located and arrested Mark Burk in the Celebration area. He was transported to the Osceola County Jail with a $2500 bond.
