PUBLISHED:Tue June 23, 2015

Osceola County, Florida – Osceola County Sheriff’s detectives need the public’s help in identifying a robbery by sudden snatching suspect. The investigation began on June 22 at 2:19 p.m. when deputies responded to the area of Family Dollar Store located at 3195 S. John Young Parkway in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who indicated she was in the parking lot in her golf cart when an individual driving a silver sedan backed into the parking space next to her and approached her. He reached into the seat of her golf cart and took her purse before getting back in his car. The victim approached the suspect and became involved in a physical altercation. She was uninjured during the incident, but the suspect left the area.

The suspect is described as a possible Hispanic male in his late 20’s to early 40’s. He wore a hat, sunglasses, a white t-shirt with no collar, gray/brown shorts with a checkered pattern and sneakers. He was driving a possible silver, 4-door sedan.

A similar incident occurred last week at The Loop in Kissimmee, but at this time, detectives have no information they are related. Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at (407) 348-2222 or Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 dollars.
