Cocaine & Marijuana Located Two Suspects Arrested
Osceola County, Florida – On March 24 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Ham Brown Road in Kissimmee. The driver of the vehicle drove into the parking lot of Sunrise Elementary School and, prior to stopping, two suspects began throwing small bags of marijuana and cocaine out the windows. Before coming to a complete stop, the suspects, later identified as Carlos Alberto Cruz and Jonathan Luis Sanchez, discarded numerous small bags of marijuana and cocaine that were scattered on the campus of Sunrise Elementary School.
Once the car stopped, deputies conducted the traffic stop and located approximately 20 small marijuana bags totaling 54.4 grams and 140 small bags of cocaine equaling 16.5 grams, both discarded at the school and in the vehicle. The suspects also had a large amount of cash in their possession.
Both suspects were charged with Tampering with Evidence, Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell. In addition, Cruz was charged with Driving with a Suspended License. Cruz and Sanchez were arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail.
