Bank Robbery Suspects Arrested
Osceola County – Osceola County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Sarah Michelle Oliver and Mehdi Dax Haridas for their involvement in the Bank of America robbery. On May 18, detectives received a Crimeline tip identifying Oliver as a suspect.
Detectives interviewed Oliver, who was in the Osceola County Jail on unrelated charges. She cooperated with the investigation and told detectives her boyfriend, Mehdi Haridas assisted her with the crime. Oliver also indicated Haridas committed a similar crime at the Bank of America located in Hunters Creek. That information was provided to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.
On May 19, detectives obtained a felony warrant for Haridas. Last night, Osceola County Sheriff’s detectives with the Robbery Unit and Tourist Policing Unit, in conjunction with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals Service arrested Haridas for Robbery with a Firearm and Grand Theft in Sumter County. He is currently in the Sumter County Detention Center. Based on Oliver’s statements, she was charged with Robbery with a Firearm and Grand Theft. She is currently in the Osceola County Jail.
On April 29 at approximately 1:00 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Bank of America located at 2000 E. Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a bank teller who indicated an unknown female entered the bank and handed the teller a note which demanded money. The female suspect told the teller someone else was in the bank with a firearm. The suspect fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money. Deputies confirmed there was no one in the bank with a firearm. The Aviation and K-9 Units assisted in the search, but were unable to locate the suspect.
