Armed Robbery/Kidnapping Arrests
Osceola County (March 2, 2020) On January 29, 2020, and February 3, 2020, detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Bank of America located at 35 S. Doverplum Avenue, Kissimmee, Florida to two ATM robberies. In both robberies, the victims were robbed at the ATM machine and were driven out of the area by the suspects.
Through investigative leads, robbery detectives were able to identify both juvenile suspects as Victor Jahniel Velazquez and Tazwell Degaberto Berrios. Detectives were able to arrest Victor Jahniel Velazquez, who cooperated with detectives. In the investigation, detectives learned Tazwell Degaberto Berrios fled to the area of Philadelphia, PA. On February 28, 2020, the Philadelphia Police Department and Osceola County Sheriff’s Office detectives successfully located and arrested Tazwell Degaberto Berrios in Philadelphia, PA. Both Victor and Tazwell were charged with Armed Robbery with a Firearm, Armed Carjacking, Armed Kidnapping, and Petit Theft.
