Osceola County, Florida – On March 25 at approximately 8:44 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the juvenile housing facility located at 2330 New Beginnings Road in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a staff member who indicated a disturbance occurred when one of the juveniles, identified as Alexis Yovanis Ramos, attempted to gain access to another pod. Ramos and several other juveniles began kicking the door and windows. During the disturbance, Ramos became involved in a physical altercation with a staff member. He removed the staff member’s keys and took his radio in an attempt to gain access to the main control room, but he was unsuccessful. While this was occurring, another juvenile, identified as Cristian Damian Pereyra physically battered another staff member, attempting to take his keys and radio. Both juveniles were arrested and charged with Deprive Means to Communicate, Incite or Encouraging a Riot, Battery on a Detention Staff, Grand Theft and Attempted Escape.
