Job Description

The employee will perform various administrative and clerical tasks specific to their assigned department, including information collection, statistical computation, data entry, and verification duties in the recording and maintaining of official department records. The employee will process various documentation for dissemination to appropriate agencies, like the Courts and State Attorney’s Office. The employee will enter and update reports in the local or national law enforcement database so these systems can maintain a high level of reliability. The employee will also perform required administrative duties, including but not limited to making copies, sending faxes, typing, filing, maintaining logs & sign-out sheets, security logs, etc. The employee shall perform any other duties assigned by a supervisor or designee.

Requirements:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must pass a typing test with 25 wpm and 90% accuracy.
  • Must be willing to become FCIC/NCIC certified.
  • Must not have been convicted of a felony.
  • Must not have been convicted of a misdemeanor involving moral character, false statement, perjury, or domestic violence.

Knowledge, Skills &Abilities:

  • Must have good phone etiquette.
  • Must have good verbal communication, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Must have strong customer service skills
  • Must possess initiative and be able to prioritize duties to meet deadlines
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, use of computers, Internet, and Spillman
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
