Bridging the G.A.A.P Conversation

Bridging the GAAP is a discussion between law enforcement officers and students from Osceola Schools (grades 7-12). These students are identified as at-risk and/or have a misleading or biased view of law enforcement. Through this open discussion, different perspectives and new perceptions are understood and appreciated by both the juvenile and officer. After the initial discussion, a law enforcement officer and juvenile are teamed up to kayak in a nearby lake, where one-on-one mentoring can ensue.
