Fred Hinderman

Captain | Criminal Investigations Division

Captain Fred Hinderman has worked for the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office since 1997. Assigned to many areas including patrol, the community response team, sex offender unit, property crimes, grand theft auto, and economic crimes.

As a sergeant, he supervised patrol, narcotics, person crimes, sex crimes and internet crimes against children. When promoted to Lieutenant, he supervised patrol and then west property crimes. Captain Hinderman has been a member of the SWAT team since 2001. Where he has worked as a sniper, assistant team leader, and as the current team leader.

In September of 1999, he was recognized with the Sheriff’s Life-Saving Award. Captain Fred Hinderman also earned the employee of the month in April of 1999 and again in November of 2011. In 2017 Sheriff Russell Gibson promoted Hinderman to Captian and he currently oversees Criminal Investigations.
