Alejandro Guevara

Captain | Patrol West Division

Captain Alejandro Guevara was born in Puerto Rico. Then he moved to Central Florida where he graduated from Gateway High School in 1994.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, he joined the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office in 1999.  Captain Guevara served as a deputy in patrol and on the Community Response Team (CRT) while also joining the SWAT team in 2005.

Guevara was promoted to Sergeant and served over patrol, property crimes west, CRT, and the Osceola County Investigative Bureau. He was promoted to Captain by Sheriff Russell Gibson and currently oversees Patrol West.

Captain Guevara received a leadership certificate from Valencia College’s Public Safety Leadership Development Program and is a graduate of Columbia College earning his Associate’s Degree. He then made his Bachelor’s Degree and has earned his Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia College in 2018. In 2017 Univision recognized Captain Guevara with the Nuestros Heroes “Our Hero’s” Community Award.
