Daniel Caban

Director of Information Technology

Daniel Caban was born in Brooklyn, NY. and has always had a passion for technology. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Technology from the University of Central Florida in 2006.

He began his career with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. During his first five years with the Sheriff’s Office; recognized as both Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year in 2010.  Daniel also earned his Master’s Degree in Information Technology while at the Sheriff’s Office.

In 2012 Daniel left the Sheriff’s Office to become a Senior Engineer and worked in industries including the military, healthcare, finance, and cloud computing.  Daniel also began leading a technology user group which educated and mentored other technology professionals.

In 2017 Sheriff Russell Gibson appointed Daniel Caban as Director of Information Technology, helping to usher in and grow the use of technology in the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
