Background:
On February 5 at approximately 9:07 a.m., Orange County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to Amscot located at 13651 Hunters Oak Drive. When they arrived, they spoke with an Amscot manager who indicated he was forced to drive to the business and open the safe for unknown suspects. The suspects fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money. At approximately 9:19 a.m., Orange County deputies requested the Osceola County Sheriff's Office check the manager's residence located at 3509 Oakbrook Court in Kissimmee. Deputies arrived at the residence and located the victim's family members who had been tied up, but were able to free themselves. Deputies took statements from the family members and processed the residence for evidence. Detectives have interviewed the manager and his family and they are cooperating with the investigation. At this time, there does not appear to be a relationship between the manager and the suspects.
