Sheriff Hansell Hosts Community Appreciation Day March 3

Osceola County, Florida - Meet Sheriff Bob Hansell at the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Annual Community Appreciation Day and Open House on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Osceola County Sheriff's Administration Complex, 2601 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee.

Annually, thousands of residents attend the event to meet deputies and learn more about departments at the Sheriff's Office. Last year, more than 50 local businesses and non-profit organizations participated in the day's activities with booths, which also included crime prevention and safety displays and demonstrations from various Sheriff's Office Specialty Units including K-9, Mounted Patrol and S.W.A.T. Activities such as moon walks and face painting will be available for children. Tours of the Osceola County Emergency Operations Center and Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center will also be given. The event is free and open to the public.
