Position: Reserve Deputy Sheriff
Division: Enforcement
Salary: Voluntary, unpaid position
Deadline: Until Filled

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties include maintaining law and order and serving legal process of the courts. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • patrolling of assigned areas
  • crime investigation
  • traffic control
  • evidence collection
  • service of legal documents and warrants
  • transporting of subjects and prisoners
  • quelling disturbances and making arrests

REQUIREMENTS:

You must be a U.S. citizen.

You must be at least 21 years of age.

High school diploma or G.E.D.

Graduated from a Florida Criminal Justice Reserve or Full Time Academy and successfully passed the state exam.

Must be able to volunteer or work at least 15 hours a month and not more than 30.

Take a medical physical and drug screen test.

Successfully pass a physical agility test(PAT), swim test, and written examination.

No marijuana usage in the past three years. No usage of other controlled substances in the past 10 years.
