Recently, Osceola County Sheriff's deputies with the Motors Unit won 13 awards at the Capital City Challenge held in Tallahassee. Nine agencies participated in the Capital City Challenge, a law enforcement motorcycle training seminar designed to improve officer safety and enhance each riders' skills in a friendly, but highly competitive environment.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is advising the public about Ronald John Sears (DOB 6/27/90), who is a registered sexual predator by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and recently moved to Osceola County. He currently resides at 4741 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee.

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives, in conjunction with the St. Cloud Police Department arrested Dejeane Alexander and Samantha Ericka Espada and charged them with False Report of Bomb, Criminal Use of Personal ID Information and Conspiracy to False Report of a Bomb. The investigation began on April 20 when an anonymous tip was called into Crimeline regarding a bomb threat at Harmony High School. The caller named a specific female student was going to bring a bomb to Harmony High School. A second call to Crimeline was made shortly after stating a male student was bringing a bomb to St. Cloud High School.

Osceola County Sheriff's deputies have located a 29-year-old disabled man. Late this afternoon, Miguel Enrique Olmo was found in Orlando and is in good health. He will be returning to his family.

Osceola County -- The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is advising the public about Michael Lamar Brown (DOB 8/20/66), who is a registered sexual predator by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and recently moved to a new address. He currently resides at 5198 Fryer Road in St. Cloud.

On May 2, Osceola County Sheriff's detectives traveled to Opelousas, Louisiana to continue the double homicide investigation. They plan to return by the end of this week. While in Opelousas, they met with Satterfield, but are not disclosing at this time any information about the interview.

Osceola County Sheriff's deputies need the public's help in locating a 29-year-old disabled man. Miguel Enrique Olmo. His family advised he has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old child. He told his family he was going to Game Stop located at 1395 East Osceola Parkway to purchase video games, but did not go to the store. Later, he texted them to say he was “not coming back.” Miguel is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5'7”, 140 lbs. with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and khaki cargo shorts. Miguel has a scar on his upper right leg and some facial hair.

At approximately 1:00 a.m. this morning, Kevin Satterfield was arrested and taken into custody in Opelousas, Louisiana. He was arrested at Motel 8, located at 5791 I-49 South Service Road. The U.S. Marshals Service's Violent Offender Task Force, St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office and Opelousas Police SWAT teams made contact with Satterfield who walked out of the motel room and surrendered without incident. Search warrants were obtained for Satterfield's 2004 Jeep Cherokee. which was located in the parking lot, and the room he was staying in at Motel 8. Osceola County Sheriff's detectives are traveling to Louisiana to interview Satterfield who will be extradited to Osceola County. The investigation is on-going at this time. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives obtained felony warrants for Kevin Satterfield, 55, for his involvement in a double homicide. Satterfield is wanted for two counts of 1st Degree Murder and one count of Attempted Murder. The investigation began this morning at approximately 12:47 a.m. when deputies responded to 107 Coral Reef Circle in reference to an armed disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased male and female in the residence. The female has been identified as Satterfield's wife, Vicki Satterfield, 53. A third individual, Satterfield's daughter, 21, who is 8 months pregnant, was airlifted to ORMC in critical condition. The deceased male's identity has not been released pending next of kin notification. Another adult female, a child and infant were also in the residence at the time of the incident but were not injured.

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives need the public's help in locating Kevin Satterfield, 55, a person of interest possibly involved in a double homicide. The investigation began this morning at approximately 12:47 a.m. when deputies responded to 107 Coral Reef Circle in reference to an armed disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased male and female in the residence. A third individual was airlifted to ORMC. Although the incident appears to be domestic, Satterfield may possibly be armed and dangerous. He may have left the residence driving a 2004, red or maroon Jeep Cherokee with Florida tag M968JC. The vehicle has a wheel chair lift on the rear.

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives still need the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect. The investigation began on March 28 at approximately 4:13 p.m. when they responded to the parking lot of Golden Corral located at 6077 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who indicated he was walking to his car when an unknown black male approached him and attempted to take his personal items. The suspect hit the victim in the forehead before fleeing the area. The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

On Saturday, April 28, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and other local law enforcement agencies participated in the 4th National Take Back Initiative and took in 120.3 pounds of drugs during the 4-hour event at three locations.

On April 26, Osceola County Investigative Bureau (OCIB) agents served a search warrant at 2125 Oaks Boulevard in Kissimmee after receiving information about possible illegal drug activity at the residence. Agents located a marijuana grow in three separate rooms inside the residence and took into evidence 102 plants that ranged from six inches to six feet tall.

Osceola County Sheriff's deputies arrested two suspects for their involvement in a burglary at Central Florida Power Equipment located at 2547 Partin Settlement Road in Kissimmee. The investigation began on April 21 at approximately 3:22 p.m. when deputies responded to the business in reference to an unoccupied burglary. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a witness who indicated he observed two unknown males loading a soft drink machine onto the back of a pick up truck. When the suspects saw the witness, they fled the area. Deputies canvassed the business and found two damaged soft drink machines in the back of the store.

On May 9, employees at the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, Kissimmee Police Department and St. Cloud Police Department will participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run to raise awareness for Special Olympics. Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the run starts at St. Cloud City Hall and concludes at the Kissimmee Civic Center.

On April 21, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office will participate with four other public safety agencies to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics. The 4th Annual Pig Skin Classic will be held this Saturday beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Hickory Tree Community Park located at 2361 Old Hickory Tree Road in St. Cloud. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office, Kissimmee Police Department, St. Cloud Police Department and Osceola County Corrections will compete in flag football and the winner will take the championship trophy. The public is invited to attend.

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives arrested Jose Luis Delgado-Pastrana and charged him with Robbery by Sudden Snatching, Aggravated Abuse of an Elderly/Disabled Person, Aggravated Battery Person 65 Years or Older and Larceny. The investigation began April 16 at approximately 8:00 p.m. when deputies responded to Publix located at 3343 South Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the 90-year-old victim who indicated she was exiting the store when an unknown male, later identified as Delgado-Pastrana, driving a red Jeep Cherokee pulled up next to her and asked her for money. She told him she did not have any money and he grabbed her purse, which was still on her shoulder, and began driving away. She was dragged approximately 15 feet. Witnesses in the area came to assist her and were able to describe the suspect's vehicle. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for her injuries which included several broken bones and road rash.

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives arrested Pedro Luis Sanchez Maldonado and charged him with Murder for his involvement in the homicide death of Angel Melendez Pagan on March 1, 2012. The investigation began March 1 at approximately 3:49 a.m. when deputies patrolling the area near Cyrils Drive and Zuni Road discovered a white male deceased in the ditch. The victim was identified as Angel Melendez Pagan, 50 of Orlando. The investigation revealed Maldonado and Pagan were involved in drug related activity that morning in the area of Narcoossee Road.

After several months of investigation which originated in 2011, Osceola County Sheriff's detectives arrested Clinton Joe McCarthren and Ricky Lee Collins. The investigation was conducted by the Tourist Policing Unit, Community Response Team West and Orange County detectives from Sector V. During the investigation, detectives observed McCarthren and Collins break into motel rooms and steal personal property. At Collins residence, 1220 22nd Street in Orlando, detectives recovered 31 laptop computers, more than 10 digital cameras, cell phones, luggage and jewelry. Collins, a licensed bail bond agent in the State of Florida, was charged with Criminal Conspiracy, 2 counts of Burglary and Grand Theft. McCarthren was charged with Grand Theft from a Dwelling, 2 counts of Unoccupied Burglary, 2 counts of Criminal Mischief and Grand Theft. The investigation is on-going with additional charges pending. McCarthren and Collins were booked into the Osceola County Jail.
