After several months of investigation which originated in 2011, Osceola County Sheriff's detectives arrested Clinton Joe McCarthren and Ricky Lee Collins. The investigation was conducted by the Tourist Policing Unit, Community Response Team West and Orange County detectives from Sector V. During the investigation, detectives observed McCarthren and Collins break into motel rooms and steal personal property. At Collins residence, 1220 22nd Street in Orlando, detectives recovered 31 laptop computers, more than 10 digital cameras, cell phones, luggage and jewelry. Collins, a licensed bail bond agent in the State of Florida, was charged with Criminal Conspiracy, 2 counts of Burglary and Grand Theft. McCarthren was charged with Grand Theft from a Dwelling, 2 counts of Unoccupied Burglary, 2 counts of Criminal Mischief and Grand Theft. The investigation is on-going with additional charges pending. McCarthren and Collins were booked into the Osceola County Jail.
