Osceola County Sheriff's detectives need the public's help in identifying two armed robbery suspects. The investigation began on February 25 when deputies responded to the Maingate Flea Market located at 5403 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the elderly victim who indicated she owns a booth at the flea market. Two unknown females approached her asking to purchase several purses. The victim recognized the females from previous purchases and told them she had additional handbags in a storage room in another building. The victim took the females to the storage room, which was isolated from the public area, and once inside, the females aggressively attacked her with two pink stun guns. They took the victim's bag which contained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area. The victim sustained minor injuries.
Osceola County Sheriff's detectives need the public's help in identifying a residential burglary suspects. The investigation began on February 4 when deputies responded to 3880 Oak Drive in Kissimmee in reference to an unoccupied burglary. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who indicated he came home to find items missing from his house missing. The victim had video surveillance of the inside of his residence which showed two suspects in his house.
Twenty years ago, Ruth Haut, a Kissimmee chiropractor was kidnapped from her office and brutally murdered, her body left in orange groves off the east side of Hickory Tree Road in St. Cloud. Recently, detectives received new information in the case and hope the public will be able to provide additional tips that will lead to the killer.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is advising the public about Michael L. Brown (DOB 8/20/66), registered sexual predator by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement who recently moved. Brown resides at 6951 Osceola Polk Line Road; Lot #111 in Davenport.
In an effort to raise awareness for Special Olympics, Sheriff Hansell and Osceola County Sheriff's deputies will participate in Tip-A-Cop March 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Joe's Crab Shack located at 10 Blake Boulevard in Celebration. The event is open to the public.

In an effort to raise awareness and support for Special Olympics, Sheriff Hansell and Osceola County Sheriff's deputies will participate in Tip-A-Cop Friday, tonight from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Outback Steakhouse located at 7804 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee and tomorrow at Woodsby's Cafe located at 4515 S. Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The events are open to the public.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office has openings for a self-defense awareness program for women scheduled for February 21, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. Self Defense Awareness Familiarization Exchange or SAFE is designed to educate women on how to protect themselves if they should become a victim. The 2-hour class teaches that 90% of self-defense is awareness, risk reduction and avoiding confrontation, while only 10% is physical.
Osceola County Sheriff's detectives arrested three suspects for their involvement in the Amscot armed robbery, home invasion and kidnapping. Late last night, detectives took into custody Christopher Stefan Perry and his brother Atwood A. Perry, Jr. in Columbia, South Carolina. They are currently confined in the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County, South Carolina. Earlier this morning, Jonathan Albert Giraldo was arrested in Lexington, Kentucky. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Osceola County Sheriff's detectives have descriptions for two suspects involved in the Amscot incident. One suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6'2”, 210 lbs. with dreadlocks. He was wearing a black beanie cap and all black clothing. The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'5”, 180 lbs. with short hair and a medium build.
Osceola County Sheriff's detectives are currently investigating a home invasion/kidnapping at 4509 Oakbrook Court in Kissimmee. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office received the call at approximately 9:19 a.m. as an attempt to contact at the residence. No one was injured in the home invasion/kidnapping. The incident is connected to an armed robbery at Amscot that the Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. This is an on-going investigation. Additional information will be provided when it becomes available.

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives need the public's help in identifying an unknown male involved in a suspicious incident. The investigation began on February 1 at approximately 4:00 p.m. when deputies responded to the area of Seven Dwarf's Lane and W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. They spoke with a 13-year old girl who indicated she was at the corner waiting for her mother when an unknown male drove into the parking lot and began talking to her. He told the girl he was new to the area and asked her if she wanted to get in the car and go get something to eat. The girl pointed at a vehicle indicating her mother was in the parking lot. The man left the area in a green or maroon Ford Explorer.
