On December 29 at approximately 1:59 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff's deputies responded to the area of Osceola Parkway and Buenaventura Lakes Boulevard after receiving a call regarding a possible vehicle driving reckless. Deputies located the vehicle, a blue BMW, and the driver in the parking lot of the Walgreens located at 2050 E. Osceola Parkway Boulevard in Kissimmee. Deputies approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver, identified as Ivan Matos. As deputies were speaking with Matos, they could smell what appeared to be marijuana. Matos cooperated with deputies and allowed a search of the vehicle. Deputies recovered a large sum of cash, prescription pills, approximately 9.5 grams of marijuana and more than 300 plastic bags, commonly used to package narcotics.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is advising the public about Johnathan Allen (DOB 8/4/84) who is a registered sexual predator by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and recently moved to Osceola County. He currently resides at 2550 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee.

This holiday season, Osceola County Sheriff's deputies partnered with Walmart Supercenters to put smiles on the faces of disadvantaged and displaced children. The event, known as Shop With A Cop provided 81 children with $100 gift cards each and allowed them to shop with a deputy at one of three Walmart stores in Kissimmee, Poinciana and St. Cloud.
Osceola County Sheriff's deputies with the Community Response Team West arrested three suspects involved in a retail theft ring and recovered several thousands in stolen property. Ramel Frost, Orrissa Sermon and Sean Davis are responsible for stealing electronics at 9 Target Stores in Orange and Osceola counties. The first incident occurred in late October at the Target Store located at 4750 Millennia Plaza Way and the most recent occurred last week at the Target Store located at 120 West Grant Street. The suspects also stole electronics from the Target Stores at 4795 W. Hwy. 193, 718 Maguire Boulevard and 7051 West Colonial Drive.
On December 14, Osceola County Investigative Bureau (OCIB) agents located two grow houses in Poinciana after receiving an anonymous tip regarding possible illegal drug activity. Agents made contact with the homeowner located at 104 Carlisle Court. They located 35 marijuana plants and arrested Aristides Osorio and charged him with Cultivation of Cannabis. Based on this investigation, OCIB agents obtained a search warrant for 341 Chelmsford Court and located 17 marijuana plants and marijuana. Nelson Ladino-Rubio was arrested and charged with Cultivation of Marijuana.
On December 1 and 2, Osceola County Sheriff's deputies successfully conducted Operation Zero Tolerance which resulted in 85 arrests and 133 citations. Deputies from all areas of the agency including aggressive driving, agriculture/marine, aviation, communications, criminal investigations, community response teams east and west, economic crimes, evidence, forensics, tourist policing, motors, K-9, narcotics enforcement team, reserves, robbery, traffic and warrants worked all areas of the county.
On November 29, Osceola County Investigative Bureau agents received information regarding an active methamphetamine lab located in the Broadmoor Mobile Home Park. Agents obtained a search warrant for a residence located at 201 Albatross Way and discovered an active methamphetamine lab. John Perez, Eric Jackson and Dudley Rowland were arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine with additional charges are pending. This is the second methamphetamine lab dismantled at this location within the last three months.
Osceola County Sheriff's detectives need the public's help in identifying possibly three armed robbery suspects. The investigation began on December 1 at approximately 1:29 a.m., when deputies responded to the Circle K located at 1608 Shepherd Lane in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the store employee who indicated a black male entered the store and went to the bathroom. Seconds later, two black males armed with a handgun entered the store and demanded money at gunpoint. The clerk did not immediately react, so one of the suspects fired the gun toward, but did not hit him. The suspects fled the area in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money.
